16th October marks the 71st birth anniversary of the king of comedy, Mohan Rangachari - best known as Crazy Mohan, who wore the hats of a playwright, screenwriter, actor, and comedian. While he wrote dialogues for several movies, the ones that featured Kamal Hassan became legendary. Five friends land in a soup as their boys' trip leads them to get tangled in dealing with a dead body. Mohan gets a creative canvas since the five friends hail from different parts of the country: a chance to weave in magic with linguistic flavors, and Mohan doesn't disappoint. This laugh riot is a complete entertainer and doesn't bore even on repeat watch.

3. Vasool Raja MBBS
A remake of the successful Hindi movie Munnabhai MBBS, Vasool Raja makes its mark because of Crazy Mohan's spin. Remakes of already hit movies are usually tricky because the storyline and characters have left an impression. But, the Crazy-Kamal duo hit the bull's eye with their expertise. Again, Mohan displays his mastery over words with dialogues like "calm aa irukara aaLa coma garaLE." Kamal's Chennai accent lends the perfect flavor to Mohan's lines.

4. Avvai Shanmughi

The same director as MMKR with Crazy-Kamal duo first collaborated in this comedy-drama. Kamal plays the father and twin sons, one of whom is a dwarf. A masala entertainer, Apoorva Sahodargal weaves in comic relief effortlessly. Kamal, as Appu, elevates the character to a whole new level - with emotions and make-up. Mohan delivers like none other with punch dialogues like naane meter ku keezha irukae: a fantastic spin on the situation and scene.
