1. Kashi or Varanasi

From taking a dip in the Ganga to witnessing the magnificent Ganga arti, a serene boat ride watching the sunrise to walk in the bylanes, visiting the Kashi Vishwanath temple exploring the ghats, Varanasi will awe you in more ways than one.
2. Puri
The famous Jagannath of Puri temple is one of the Char Dhams that attracts visitors for its uniqueness that does not stop at being a one of its kind for the presiding deities- Lord Jagannatha, or Krishna, resides here with His sister Devi Subhadra and brother Lord Balarama. The stunning 12th-century Kalinga architecture and location of the temple - near the seashore - take the spiritual experience up several notches.

3. Rameshwaram
The Hindu scriptures believe that a pilgrimage to Kashi is incomplete if not followed up by a visit to Rameshwaram. Lord Rama began his journey to Lanka to rescue Devi Sita from Rameshwaram.

4. Ujjain
Ujjain has a glorious history that is about 5000 years old. Ujjain finds a mention in the Adi Brahma Purana, Agni Purana and Garuda Purana are places known to provide liberation to those seeking it. The Mahakaleshwar temple is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, and its speciality is that it is the only one to face the South direction.
The Kshipra arti at the Ram Ghat, with a spiritual dip in the river, is a mesmerizing must-have experience. The Sandipani Ashram, Kal Bhairav temple, and Mangalnath Mandir are other attractions that should feature in your itinerary. If possible, you could tie up a visit to the iconic Khajuraho too.
5. Ayodhya
Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Rama, has a new grand temple. This historical moment is precious for everyone practising Sanatana Dharma. There are plenty of other Hindu and Jain temples you could visit here. Some popular ones are Hanuman Garhi, Nageshwarnath Temple, Kanak Bhavan, Rishabhdeo Jain Mandir, and Shwetamber Mandir. You could also explore the possibility of combining a trip to Varanasi with Ayodhya.
